Faced with the Covid-19 pandemic that requires work or study at home, people share work spaces or homes that allow them a stable internet connection, but also reduce rental expenses. There is a need for “networking”, that is, professionals and entrepreneurs need to meet or keep in touch to build relationships and develop business opportunities.

For this reason, more foreign people, tourists and visitors, choose our country among the favorite destinations to rest and work remotely. But Mexicans live a different reality

The price increases imposed by some real estate companies do not necessarily respond to the demands of supply and demand and do not consider the current situation. According to figures from the Mercado Libre company, searches for a home have grown 9 percentage points in the first quarter of 2021 and 7% in the State of Mexico. However, the same has not happened with acquisitions.

The Real Estate company, Lamudi, points out that due to the health contingency, the real estate market has seen a decline in real estate sales operations, especially residential ones. The decrease was up to 16%. And it is that the economic situation has forced people between 29 and 39 years to return to their parents' house, to acquire apartments with more people or to stop their purchase plans.

With full knowledge of this reality, the real estate market must reinvent itself. Adapt the spaces according to current needs and advertise with competitive prices.

Large national companies would be expected to invest more in Mexico. Some foreign companies turn to see the real estate in our country and have even opened businesses, offices or recreation centers; even many people have moved, because the transfer to the office is not necessary.

A transformation in the real estate market would not only change the lives of people who need a suitable housing for their work and housing needs. The opening to credit and the readjustment of prices would also contribute to the development of other industries and the economic growth of the country.
